The evening begins with poignant arias, seductive duets and magisterial choruses taken from the exotic worlds of Mozart's most opulent operas. Baritone Jesse Clark will tickle your ribs as Flute's hapless Papageno while mezzo-soprano Wallis Giunta, a Met Opera Lindemann Artist who was also a 2010 New Discovery Grand Prize Winner, will melt your heart with Idamante's lament for his father Idomeneo's tragic denial.

Translated from the Persian in the 19th century, Omar
Khayyam's Rubaiyat captivated readers across the English-speaking world. Today, a millennium after he recorded his musings, the revered poet-philosopher's answers to the riddle of life continue to fascinate us. This work of great beauty, commissioned by the Ager Family with the help of the Choral Society, was composed by Andrew Ager and is dedicated to the memory of his mother.
