Carlo is a graduate of Concordia University, where he studied jazz performance, electro-acoustics and composition. In the time since he has had the opportunity to participate in a variety of multidisciplinary creative projects.

While in Montreal, Carlo performed as a musician in the annual Symphonie Portuaire – a concert series featuring pieces composed by local composers for the horns and boats in the Old Port. Following this, Carlo was a performer in the premiere of Tribal by Jean-Francois Laporte – a piece written for instruments invented by the composer himself.

As a composer and sound designer, Carlo has created incidental music and audio for a variety of theatre, multimedia art installations, and puppetry shows performed around Quebec, France, and Poland.

More recently in Ottawa, Carlo was responsible for creating and coordinating video and audio elements for a weekly reflective and contemplative space at the Meeting House.

Carlo also coordinated production, projections and sound reinforcement for the Chamber-Fringe series of the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival (Chamberfest) 7 years running.

In his spare time, Carlo plays guitar in the Landon A. R. Coleman Band and in an acoustic duo with his talented wife Allyson.
