Emma Lassiter

Assistant Conductor

A dual citizen of the United States and Canada, Emma holds a Bachelor of Music in Choral Music Education from Appalachian State University and a Master of Music in Choral Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She taught middle and high school choir in North Carolina for several years before moving to Ottawa in 2023.

Emma currently directs a community singing group for people with aphasia following stroke as part of a research study with the University of Ottawa. She also works with the Centre for Accessible Learning at Algonquin College. She is passionate about making music an inclusive and joyful experience, cherishing every opportunity to sing, learn, and create alongside the ensembles she directs.
